Description

1-Cyclohex-3-enylmethylcyclohex-3-ene-1-carboxylate is a naturally occurring compound that has been shown to be the major oxidation product of hydrogen peroxide, and is also produced by the condensation of epoxides. 1-Cyclohex-3-enylmethylcyclohex-3-ene-1-carboxylate has been used as an intermediate in the production of various heterocyclic compounds, including cycloaliphatic, aliphatic hydrocarbon, olefinic, alicyclic, and fatty acid esters. It is also a monomer that has been used in the synthesis of polymers such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT).
