Product Information

Name:
3-Chlorocinnoline
Description:

3-Chlorocinnoline is an anti-cancer agent that inhibits the growth of tumour cells. It has been shown to inhibit the production of picornavirus, which can lead to inflammation and cancer. 3-Chlorocinnoline also inhibits the acetylcholine receptor, which leads to cancer cell death. The mechanism of action is thought to be due to a reaction scheme in which 3-chlorocinnoline acts as a competitive inhibitor of the coagulation enzyme thrombin. This inhibition prevents the formation of fibrin clots, which would otherwise occlude blood vessels and prevent oxygen supply to tissues in infarcted tissue. 3-Chlorocinnoline also inhibits tyrosine kinase, which is involved in cellular proliferation and differentiation.
