Description:

1-Cbz-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole is an enantioselective and sequential synthesis of a hydroxyl group. The synthesis starts with the transesterification reaction of diallylamine and ethyl acetate, followed by a chemoenzymatic synthesis of the hydroxyl group. This compound is then reacted with a lipase to produce the antitumor compound. 1-Cbz-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole can be used as an intermediate in the production of other compounds such as heterocycles and bromohydrins.
