Description:

2'-Chloro-5'-methoxy-5-nitro-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3-carboxylic acid is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme protein kinase. It has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis in estrogen receptor positive cells. 2'-Chloro-5'-methoxy-5-nitro-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3-carboxylic acid has also been shown to have antiosteoporotic activity and to inhibit bone resorption. This drug has not been shown to stimulate estrogenic activity or to bind to the estrogen receptor in breast cancer cells.
