Description:

1-(4-Chloropyridine-2-yl)ethanone is a modified indolocarbazole that can be synthesized from 1,4-dihydropyridines. This compound has been shown to inhibit protein kinases and tumor cells in vitro. It has been found to react with other molecules through the formation of an acyl group or carboxylic acid. 1-(4-Chloropyridine-2-yl)ethanone inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species and the activation of NFκB, which may contribute to its antitumor activity.
