Chloroanilic acid barium salt is a chemical used in analytical chemistry to study microbial metabolism. It can be used to measure the level of hydrochloric acid in a solution, as well as the concentration of chloride and acid content. Chloroanilic acid barium salt is also an important cross-linking agent for proteins, especially leaf proteins. This chemical can be used to study the molecular weight of fatty acids by using a turbidimetric method and measuring the amount of light absorbed at different wavelengths. Chloroanilic acid barium salt can also be used as an oxidation catalyst to measure carbonyl groups in organic compounds.
