2-[[5-Chloro-2-[[3-methyl-1-(1-methylethyl)-1H-pyrazol-5-yl]amino]-4-pyridinyl]amino]-N-methoxybenzamide (GSK2256098) is a chemical inhibitor that binds to the GSK2 protein, which is involved in the regulation of centromeric activity. 2-[5-(chloro)-2-[(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1yl)amino]-4-(pyridinium)]amino]-N-[(methoxyimino)methyl]benzamide inhibits meiosis by binding to and stabilizing the GSK2 protein, preventing its phosphorylation. This prevents the precession of chromosomes during meiosis, leading to defective production of gametes and infertility.
