4-Chloro-2-trifluoroacetylaniline is a synthetic compound that is used in the chlorination of organic compounds. It can be used to introduce chlorine into organic compounds, as well as acylating them with acyl chloride or sulfonyl chloride reagents. The environmental impact of 4-chloro-2-trifluoroacetylaniline is significant and has been shown to pollute wastewater and soil. 4-Chloro-2-trifluoroacetylaniline also reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce methylbenzene and isobutyl, which are both highly toxic substances.
