Description:
5-Chlorobenzo[1,3]dioxol-4-ylamine (5CDDY) is a potential small molecule activin receptor ligand. It has been shown to specifically bind to the activin receptor, and this binding induces the phosphorylation of downstream kinases, which may be involved in cell proliferation and differentiation. 5CDDY has been shown to have high affinity for the activin receptor and can be used as a linker between proteins and DNA. 5CDDY also has anti-inflammatory properties that are due to its ability to inhibit inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6, IL-8, and TNFα. This drug also interacts with DNA repair enzymes such as ligase IV.
