Description:
2-Chlorosulfonyl-7-fluoro-5-ethoxy[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-c]-pyrimidine (CFT) is a sulfonyl chloride that can be used as a catalyst in the synthesis of herbicides. It is also an excellent source for hydrogen peroxide and chloride. CFT catalyzes the oxidation of pyrimidine compounds to sulfonylsulfonates with hydrogen peroxide and chloride. CFT has been shown to be a good catalyst for the synthesis of sulfonyl chlorides from alkyl halides.
