2-Cyclopropylacetamide is a synthetic, inhibitory compound that binds to the allosteric site of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. It blocks the binding of acetylcholine to its receptors and inhibits activation of these receptors. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of estrogen receptor modulators and has been found in vitro to inhibit the activity of mammalian cells. 2-Cyclopropylacetamide does not have any known tautomerization or deuterium isotope effects.
