Description

3-Chloropropionamide is a chemical compound that inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. It has been shown to inhibit population growth in model systems and to be effective against inflammatory diseases. 3-Chloropropionamide inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are involved in inflammatory processes and may have an effect on sodium ion transport across cell membranes.
