6-Chloro-7,8-dihydroxy-3-methyl-1-(3-methylphenyl)-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-3-benzazepine (6C7DMHTB) is a drug metabolite that is produced by the cytochrome P450 enzyme. It has an inhibitory effect on striatal dopamine and can be used to treat Parkinson’s disease. 6C7DMHTB inhibits the physiological function of dopamine in the caudate putamen and may prove to be an effective treatment for dyskinesia. 6C7DMHTB binds to tropomyosin receptor kinase with affinity ligand and can be used to study neurotrophic effects in animals.
