Description:
Cimbuterol is a beta2-adrenergic agonist that is used for the treatment of asthma and other respiratory disorders. It is a prodrug that undergoes hydrolysis by esterases to produce bambuterol, its active form. Cimbuterol increases the rate and depth of breathing by stimulating beta2-adrenoceptors in the lungs. The drug has been shown to be effective in treating asthma symptoms, with a detection time of up to 2 hours. The drug also has a long half-life, which can be up to 24 hours. Cimbuterol can be detected in urine samples for up to 1 week after administration.
