Cyclosporin AM 1-d3 is a chemical compound that is structurally similar to cyclosporin A. It is a dry extract of the fungus Tolypocladium inflatum, produced by the culture and isolation of the plant's metabolites. Cyclosporin AM 1-d3 has been shown to have estrogenic effects in vitro and in vivo. In addition, it has been shown to have a protective effect against estradiol-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in rats. This product can be used as a pharmaceutical preparation for treating various diseases such as diabetes mellitus, inflammatory bowel disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. Cyclosporin AM 1-d3 has also been found to be effective for use as an anti-inflammatory agent in collagen-induced arthritis models and rat hepatocyte cultures.
