Product Information
3-Chloro-N-methylpropan-1-amine is a malignant analog of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine. It is used in vitro as a fluorescent probe to study the biochemical and molecular interactions of noradrenergic system. 3-Chloro-N-methylpropan-1-amine has been shown to inhibit the activity of oxidases, which are enzymes that catalyze the oxidation of organic compounds, in vitro. 3-Chloro-N-methylpropan-1-amine can be degraded by microbial enzymes into nontoxic products that are biodegradable and less toxic than other compounds. In vivo studies have shown that 3CMPP significantly inhibits tumor growth and angiogenesis in a mouse model.
