Description:
Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic corticosteroid that inhibits the release of histamine from mast cells. It has been shown to have a significant effect on the eosinophil population and therefore may be useful in treating allergic reactions. Triamcinolone acetonide has been shown to have a high level of plasma radioactivity, which is excreted through feces and urine. Studies have shown that it can be used in oral dosages with predictable pharmacokinetics.
