Description:

2-Chlorophenyl acetate is a specific bidentate ligand that interacts with a transition metal, such as copper oxide. 2-Chlorophenyl acetate has been shown to be an acylation agent in the presence of hydrochloric acid and a catalyst for the synthesis of isomers. 2-Chlorophenyl acetate has also been shown to have catalytic activity in the presence of chloride and copper oxide. The catalytic effect is due to its ability to form a supramolecular complex with copper oxide.
