Description:
4-Chlorosulfonylphenylacetic acid is a synthetic chemical that inhibits the production of inflammatory mediators. It has been shown to inhibit LPS-induced macrophage activation and inhibitory activity in vitro. 4-Chlorosulfonylphenylacetic acid has been synthesized by the reaction of phenylacetic acid with chlorosulfonic acid. The synthesis of 4-chlorosulfonylphenylacetic acid is shown in Scheme 1 below.
