Cinerin I is an anthelmintic drug that belongs to the group of natural products. It has been shown to have high efficacy against gastrointestinal roundworms in rats, with a single oral administration of 100 mg/kg, by inhibiting the binding of calcium ions to ryanodine receptors. Cinerin I is also capable of inhibiting mitochondrial membrane potential and hydrogen bond in the mitochondrial membrane. This activity may be due to its ability to inhibit oxidative DNA damage and receptor binding.
