Description:
Cyclopropyl 4-methoxyphenyl ketone is an isoxazole that can be synthesized by reacting the Grignard reagent with cyclopropanecarboxylic acid. Cyclopropyl 4-methoxyphenyl ketone can be used as a biomolecular reagent to make nitrosobenzene and other heterocycles. This reaction system has been shown to provide high yields in reactions of benzene, acetonitrile, and cross-coupling reactions. The product has been used for the synthesis of heterocycles such as nitrosobenzene and benzofuran. Cyclopropyl 4-methoxyphenyl ketone reacts with nucleophiles to form alkyl groups.
