Description:

2-Chloropyridine-5-boronic acid is a boronic acid that is used in the synthesis of heteroaryl compounds. It can be synthesized by the Wittig reaction, which involves the reaction of an aldehyde or ketone with an alkene and phosphorane to form a ylide. 2-Chloropyridine-5-boronic acid can also be prepared by cross-coupling reactions between two different functional groups. These reactions include the palladium-catalyzed cross coupling and Suzuki cross coupling. This compound has been shown to be efficient for making furyl compounds using X-ray crystal structures.
