Product Information
- 6-Chloropicolinaldehyde
6-Chloropyridine-2-carbaldehyde is a chiral, stereoselective, and organocatalytic reagent that can be used for the synthesis of a variety of biologically active compounds. This compound has been shown to interact with etidronate, an osteoclast inhibitor, to form an azacyclic intermediate. The stereoselectivity of this reaction was determined by exploring the effect of different solvents on the reaction. 6-Chloropyridine-2-carbaldehyde is also used in assays to measure bone density.
