Description

1-Chloroanthraquinone is a reactive compound that is oxidized by sodium carbonate and copper chloride. It has been shown to produce human proteins when reacted with 4-tert-butylbenzoic acid in the presence of urea and n-dimethyl formamide. This process may be important for the synthesis of proteins that are related to the immune system. 1-Chloroanthraquinone was also synthesized using supercritical carbon dioxide and isolated with an isolated yield of 39%. The solubility data for this substance is limited, but it has been determined that it is soluble in hydrochloric acid, but insoluble in water.
