Description:

2-ChloromethylQuinoline is a phosphorus pentachloride compound that can be used in the synthesis of many different heterocyclic compounds. It has been shown to inhibit the DPP-IV enzyme, which prevents the breakdown of proteins. 2-ChloromethylQuinoline has also been shown to be a strong antimicrobial agent against bacteria and fungi, as well as a potent inhibitor of protein synthesis in cells. 2-ChloromethylQuinoline binds to proteins through its carbonyl group and nitro groups, inhibiting their function. It has been shown to have congestive heart failure effects in animals, and may cause light emission under certain conditions.
