Cesium Dodecahydrododecaborate methanolate is a synthetic additive that is used in polycarbonates and other polymers to improve their oxidation resistance. It also has a synergistic effect with other additives, such as magnesium and tetramethylammonium borohydride. Cesium Dodecahydrododecaborate methanolate can be used as a propellant in aerosol products and as an oxidizing agent in polymerization reactions. This material is also used as a catalyst for minimizing, which is the removal of impurities from toluene by reacting it with hydrogen, producing benzene and water. Cesium Dodecahydrododecaborate methanolate is also an electron donor, which can be combined with zirconium or titanium to form cocatalysts for polymerization reactions.
