Description:
1-(3-Chlorophenyl)piperazin-2-one is a prenylated imidazole with antineoplastic and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been shown to exhibit cytotoxic activity against cancer cells and colon cancer cell lines. The mechanism of action of 1-(3-Chlorophenyl)piperazin-2-one is not yet fully understood, but it may be due to the inhibition of DNA synthesis and apoptosis induction through reactive oxygen species production.
