6-Cyclohexylhexan-1-Ol is a dicarboxylic acid that is soluble in organic solvents. It has been shown to interact with micelles and to have a pharmacokinetic profile that is similar to cyclohexanol. 6-Cyclohexylhexan-1-Ol has been shown to be an effective treatment for polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) by increasing the ovulation rate, decreasing the follicle stimulating hormone level, and improving the endometrial thickness. This drug also has anti-bacterial properties, which may be due to its ability to reduce fluidity of dental plaque and destroy peroxide radicals.
