Description:

Cyclopropylethylamine is a type of alkylamine that is used as an anti-inflammatory drug. It has inhibitory effects on the ryanodine receptor, which is a protein in muscle cells that is involved in the release of calcium from the sarcoplasmic reticulum. Cyclopropylethylamine has been shown to be effective for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, hepatitis and bronchial polyps. This drug also has an anti-cancer effect, and can reduce tumor size by inhibiting tumor cell growth and inducing apoptosis. Cyclopropylethylamine also has vasculitis properties, by inhibiting production of nitric oxide that causes inflammation. This drug binds to chlorine atoms and forms a stable complex with hydrochloric acid to form chloride ions.
