Product Information
- Quinuclidine-4-carbonitrile
4-Cyanoquinuclidine is a synthetic compound used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other medicines. It is soluble in organic solvents and reacts with chloride to yield 4-chloroquinuclidine hydrochloride. 4-Cyanoquinuclidine can also be synthesized from butanol and amide, or through an enzymatic reaction. The hematological parameters of rats are affected by the administration of this compound, which can lead to anaemia. The effects on the body's organs and tissues were determined using animal research, where xylene was found to be toxic to the liver and kidneys when injected into rats.
