Description:

H-beta-Cyclopropyl-L-Alanine is an antimicrobial peptide that inhibits the growth of fungi by binding to the enzyme ns3 protease, which is required for fungal cell wall biosynthesis. This peptide also has antifungal activity against a range of organisms, including Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger. H-beta-Cyclopropyl-L-Alanine has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of fungi in human dermal fibroblast cells. It may also have anti-fungal properties in women because it binds to an enzyme that is involved in the production of progesterone in the ovary.
