Description:
Cyclo(-Gly-Trp) is a tannin that is found in plants. It can be extracted from plants and purified by various analytical methods, such as column chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, and nuclear magnetic resonance. Cyclo(-Gly-Trp) has been shown to have inhibitory activities against intestinal cancer cells. The mechanism of action of this compound is not yet known. Cyclo(-Gly-Trp) also has anti-inflammatory properties and may be useful for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.
