Cyclo(L-Phe-L-Phe) is a cyclic peptide that has been found to have anticoagulant properties. It inhibits the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/AKT pathways and is able to inhibit the activation of the human ventral prostate cancer cells. Cyclo(L-Phe-L-Phe) also has antidepressant effects, which may be due to its ability to increase levels of acetylcholine, dopamine, and serotonin in experimental animals. In addition, this drug is orally active and has good bioavailability.
