Product Information
- Cyclo(-Trp-Trp)
Cyclo(L-Trp-L-Trp) is a synthetic indole alkaloid that has been studied for its potential use in cancer treatment. Cyclo(L-Trp-L-Trp) is produced by the methyltransferase from L-tryptophan and L-tyrosine, which are amino acids that are essential for the production of proteins. The biosynthetic pathway for Cyclo(L-Trp-L-Trp) starts with the racemase enzyme converting L-tryptophan to D,L-tryptophan. This is then converted to D,D-(+)-tryptophane by methyltransferase and then to cyclo(D,D)-Tyr by prenyl transferase. The final product is cyclo(D,D)-Tyr which reacts with ribose to form the final product Cyclo(L-Trp-L-Trp). The molecular weight
