Product Information

Name:
2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-2-Phenylacetic Acid
Synonyms:
  • Benzeneacetic Acid, 4-Chloro-Alpha-Phenyl-
Description:

2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-2-phenylacetic acid (2CPPAA) is a chlorinated phenolic compound that belongs to the group of pesticides. 2CPPAA is an agonist for the CB1 receptor, which binds to the ligand, causing it to emit a signal. In addition, 2CPPAA has been shown to be able to bind to and block the CB1 receptors. The affinity of 2CPPAA for the CB1 receptor is increased by alkyl moieties in the middle of its phenyl group. This compound has been shown to cause camp formation in rats. It also affects cb1 receptors and can lead to tetraphenyl formation in vitro.
