Description:
3-Chloro-6-fluorobenzo[b]thiophene-2-carbonyl chloride is a refluxing liquid that can be used to synthesize tetracyclic compounds. 3-Chloro-6-fluorobenzo[b]thiophene-2-carbonyl chloride reacts with methylhydrazine and calcium hydroxide in the presence of chlorides and calcium to form a cyclized product. This compound has been shown to have fluoro, indazole, chloride, methylhydrazine, and trifluoroacetic congener groups.
