Description:

3-Cyano-2,6-dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine is a bimetallic catalyst for cross-coupling reactions. It has been shown to be stable and selective in the hydrogenation of secondary alcohols. The cytotoxicity of 3-cyano-2,6-dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine has been demonstrated using the IC50 values on HeLa cells. 3-Cyano-2,6-dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine can be recycled and reused in cross coupling reactions. This compound is also capable of dechlorinating chlorinated substrates with high selectivity and high yield.
