2-Chloro-6-methoxy-3-nitropyridine (2C6MP) is a chemical compound that is synthesized by the reaction of tetraethyl pyridine with chloride. This chemical has a high yield, and is industrially utilized to produce other organic compounds. 2C6MP reacts with tetrabutyl ammonium chloride in an exothermic reaction that can be carried out at room temperature.
