Cyclohexylpyrrolidine is a useful catalyst in asymmetric synthesis and has been shown to interact with carbon monoxide. It is also used as an additive in the production of styrene. This catalysis has been shown to be effective for the reaction time and kinetic study of a model protein, anhydrase. Cyclohexylpyrrolidine has also been found to be an organometallic catalyst in reactions involving imines and peroxides.
