Description:
2-(Chloro-difluoromethoxy)-1,1,1-trifluoroethane is a quinoline derivative that inhibits the activity of fatty acid synthase. This inhibition leads to a decrease in the production of lipids and an increase in the amount of energy available for cellular processes. 2-(Chloro-difluoromethoxy)-1,1,1-trifluoroethane has been shown to have insecticidal properties and can be used as a pesticide. It also has antiviral properties and is used in clinical practice for the treatment of certain types of cancer. 2-(Chloro-difluoromethoxy)-1,1,1-trifluoroethane is metabolized by enzymes that catalyze reactions involving amide groups or isomerize molecules with an alkynyl group at carbon atom number 2.
