6-Chloro-3-pyridazine carbonitrile (6-CPCC) is a phenolic compound that has been shown to mitigate the effects of complex molecules, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). It can be used for the reduction of PAHs and other substances in the environment. 6-CPCC was also found to reduce stearoyl coa desaturase, which is an enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of fatty acids. The compound's ability to function in water, with a high degree of symmetry, makes it an ideal candidate for research into the orientations and dipole moments of molecules. Experiments have shown that 6-CPCC has no effect on nuclear spin orientation and is linearly polarized.
