(-)-2-Cyano-6-phenyloxazolopiperidine is a piperidine that has been synthesized by an asymmetric synthesis. The cyano group in this molecule has been generated from cyanamide, which is obtained from hydrolysis of urea. (-)-2-Cyano-6-phenyloxazolopiperidine can be used as a diamine for the synthesis of other compounds with two or more amino groups.
