Description

(1,5-Cyclooctadiene)(pyridine)(tricyclohexylphosphine)iridium(I) Hexafluorophosphate is a homogeneous catalyst that can be used in asymmetric synthesis. It has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the transfer of acetyl groups from acetyl-CoA to aldehydes. The catalytic activity of this compound has been demonstrated using a microenvironmental analysis on human erythrocytes. This compound also has nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) agonist properties and amide functionalities.
