8-Chloro-6-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)benzo[b][1,5]benzoxazepine (8CMBBZP) is a low-dose antipsychotic drug that has been shown to have long-term efficacy. 8CMBBZP has been administered as a single dose to patients in the low dose group, while it was administered as two doses to patients in the high dose group. The efficacy of 8CMBBZP was assessed by comparing drug levels and prolactin serum levels before and after treatment with the antipsychotic agent. The results showed that 8CMBBZP has a lower potency than loxapine, but it does not affect the metabolism of dopamine or serotonin. It is not known if there are any interactions between 8CMBBZP and other drugs.
