Description:

1-Cyanocyclopropanecarboxylic acid is an organic compound that is a competitive inhibitor of dopamine D3 receptor, which is a subtype of the D2 receptor. It inhibits the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV) and has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro. 1-Cyanocyclopropanecarboxylic acid also inhibits chloride channels and has been shown to have antimicrobial properties as well as being a pesticide. 1-Cyanocyclopropanecarboxylic acid is an acrylonitrile derivative that belongs to the pyrimidine family of compounds. This compound is soluble in water, but insoluble in ethanol or ether. It has a ph optimum range of 4 to 8 and it's functional groups include chlorides and nitrile.
