Inorganic carbazole potassium salt is prepared by the reaction of silver ions with a hydrocarbon group and hydrogen chloride or from the ring-opening polymerization of an aromatic hydrocarbon. This compound can also be made by polymerizing an aromatic hydrocarbon, chloride, and a stabilizer such as benzene or pyridine.
