Product Information
- 2-Fluoro-4-Chlorophenol
- 4,4,4-Trifluoro-3-Methylbutanoic Acid
- Phenol, 4-chloro-2-fluoro-
4-Chloro-2-fluorophenol is a chlorinated aromatic compound that has the chemical formula CHClF. It is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other chemicals and as a reagent in organic synthesis. 4-Chloro-2-fluorophenol is a metabolite of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol and may be found naturally in the environment. It can be found at low levels in water supplies, but is not considered to be hazardous to human health. 4-Chloro-2-fluorophenol has been shown to have reductive dechlorination activity and mineralization capacity for tissues. It also has magnetic properties and can react with sulfate ions to form an analog with 4-chlorophenol. This analog can then react with molybdate ions to form conjugates that are chemically stable.
