2-Chloro-5-fluoronitrobenzene is a nucleophilic organic compound that can be synthesized by chlorinating 2-chloro-5-nitrobenzene. It is used in pharmacological research to study the effects of dopamine and serotonin on humans, and its constant value has been determined to be 0.23 mM at pH 7.4. The inhibition constant for 2-chloro-5-fluoronitrobenzene against chloride uptake in erythrocytes has been shown to be 4.3 μM, with a Km of 11 μM for dopamine and a Km of 12 μM for serotonin.
