Trans-13-Cinnamoyloxylupanine is a reference material that is isolated from the leaves of the plant Cinnamomum camphora. It is a primary metabolite that can be used as a standard for HPLC analysis. Trans-13-Cinnamoyloxylupanine has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. This compound also has been shown to have anticancer properties in vitro and in vivo. Trans-13-Cinnamoyloxylupanine is structurally related to other cinnamoyloxyphenols such as trans-caffeoylquinic acid and trans-feruloylquinic acid.
