Description:
(-)-Coralyn chloride is a fluorescent compound that has shown to be a potent and selective inhibitor of serine/threonine phosphatases. It is used for the study of phosphorylation-dependent protein function and for the development of new inhibitors against phosphatases. (-)-Coralyn chloride interacts with a long-chain fatty acid through hydrogen bonds, which stabilizes its structure. This interaction can be modulated by other compounds such as guanine or telomerase.
